The Narrator

Doug Ramsdell's roots in the fabric of the American West, the Midwest and the urban wilds of New York City impart a unique personal vision of place, character, and humanity that transcends time and geography.
Whether voicing a thriller or literary fiction, a bedside memoir from a brilliant physician or a stirring, danger-filled tale of men in combat, he makes his non-fiction narratives as vivid and believable as his fiction. He possesses an instinctual gift for weaving stories together via the spoken word. His performances are backed by his passion for music, in practice and performance--as both listener and player -- across genres, periods
and styles; for classic sports/racing cars and the colorful personalities that made them go; for the lore and legend of the American west and the cowboy life; for both military and civil aviation; for both the romance and the business of moviemaking; for our often perilous personal journeys through life, and for the gift of storytelling, to bring us even closer to a sense of’ ‘home.’
His aspiration is to bring us closer to our better selves and our deeper, shared consciousness. Through his distinctive voice and vision, he warmly extends a personal invitation to listeners to settle in, and share an immersive, heartening, and transformative experience.
